Course description

This program will prepare students for entry level medical office jobs in a doctor’s office or clinic as well as medical billing positions for those with previous medical office or cash handling experience.

Sessions run 14 - 16 weeks, 2 – 3 nights per week, evenings only

Medical Billing Technician $14,000 - $16,000

Competencies

Upon successful completion of the program, students will have demonstrated skill in the areas of:

  • Medical manager software
  • Building a patient file
  • Posting an entry for patient services
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Generating financial reports

Requirements

Requirements/Prerequisites: Introduction to Medical Terminology & Coding course

High School Diploma/GED not required for this class.
