Program description

This program consists of a series of 5 courses and will prepare students for employment as a Medical Interpreter.

This program has been designed to offer training as an interpreter/translator in the medical field.

Starting salary range

Bi-lingual Translator $12.00 -- $25.00/hour

  • National Standards Practice for Interpreters
  • Professional Skills and Ethical Practices for Interpreters
  • Case Studies Translator Lab
  • Case Studies Interpreter Lab
  • 40 Hour Practicum

Requirements

Must be bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish both written and oral.

Students must  pass reading and language tests in English and Spanish during the program.
