For those who need driver’s training and education, Forsyth Tech offers the following courses:
Alive At 25: West Campus
This four-hour defensive driving course is for drivers age 16 - 24 and is conducted in the classroom only. The purpose is to save lives through education about proper conduct and safe-driving techniques when operating a motor vehicle. You are eligible to take this class only once within a three-year period.
Defensive Driving: 4 Hour
This four-hour program is for drivers with serious traffic violations or who have more than one pending traffic violation. It is conducted in the classroom only. You are eligible to take this course only once within a three-year period.
Defensive Driving: 8 Hour
This eight-hour program is for drivers with serious traffic violations or who have more than one pending traffic violation. It is conducted in the classroom only. You are eligible to take this course only once within a three-year period.
Motorcycle Safety Education: Basic
This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of safe, responsible motorcycling. You will gain the knowledge and skill that lead to licensing for motorcycle operation on the streets and highways. It consists of classroom and on-motorcycle instruction. Motorcycles are provided. Students must be at least 16 with a valid driver’s license and the ability to ride a bicycle.
