Course Description
This course provides instruction for individuals who want to work in adult care and family care homes. A Personal Care Assistant has a broad range of responsibilities including assisting residents with dining, making beds, hygiene and grooming, helping patients in and out of bed, light housekeeping and meal preparation. Communication and interpersonal skills are taught throughout the course and demonstrated by students in class, lab, and clinical settings. Call 336.761.1002 to register.
This course is a prerequisite to Nursing Assistant I classes sponsored by Goodwill.
- 80 hours including clinical hours.

- Criminal Background Check/Drug Screening.
- CPR (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification before clinical
