The GED testing program is offered by all 58 community colleges in North Carolina, including Forsyth Tech. The cost to students is $7.50. The GED test consists of five tests (Language Arts Writing, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts Reading and Mathematics). Upon attaining minimum standard scores of 410 on each of the 5 tests and a total score of 2250, a high school diploma equivalency is awarded to the student by the State Board of the Community College System.
