Career Description

Networking professionals design, install, and support local and wide area computer networks. They work in a variety of environments including the public and private sectors, small businesses, large industries, and governments.

Careers Available

Network administrator, systems administrator, local area network managers, network operators, network analysts, network technicians or any other agency in which there is a need for individuals to interact with clientele.

Entry-Level Salary

$43,000 - $51,000/yr. Depends on skills, education, experience, and geographic location.

Course of Study

Course work includes design, installation, configuration, and management of network infrastructure technologies and network operating systems. Emphasis is placed on implementation and management of network software and the implementation and management of hardware such as switches and routers.

Computer experience and knowledge of commonly used software applications.
