Four-Year Transfer

student walking to classIf your plan is to get your BA or BS from a four-year school, spending your first two years at Forsyth Tech offers many advantages:

  • Small classes and approachable instructors mean you won't get lost in the crowd.
  • Low tuition means you won't leave school burdened with debt.
  • A flexible schedule of day, evening and online classes allows you to work if you need to while taking the classes you need.
  • College-transfer courses are offered at several locations — Main Campus, the Mazie S. Woodruff Center, the Grady P. Swisher Center in Kernersville, the Northwest Forsyth Center in King, and the Stokes County Center in Danbury.
  • Forsyth Tech credits automatically transfer to any University of North Carolina school and many private colleges. You can graduate with your associate degree and transfer to a four-year school as a junior.

Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and Bilateral Agreements

Forsyth Tech Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees will transfer to any University of North Carolina school and many private universities thanks to a Comprehensive Articulation Agreement between the North Carolina Community College System and these universities. Some two-year technical programs also transfer to some universities through special "bilateral" agreements.

Note: Nursing, Business Administration and Engineering can be taken through the technical divisions (Allied Health, Business and Information, Engineering) for immediate employment or through the Arts & Sciences Division for immediate transfer to a senior institution. Courses differ for the two types of programs, technical or transfer. See a counselor or advisor if you have questions about the type of program for you.
