The Biotechnology program at Forsyth Tech has a limited enrollment and is filled by a selective admissions process.
When to Apply
You may apply at any time for fall semester admission in the Biotechnology program. Only students admitted to the Biotechnology program will be allowed to register for biotechnology specific courses. All other courses in the curriculum may be completed prior to or after admission to the program.
How to Apply
Submit a Forsyth Tech application along with high school/GED and college transcripts, and test scores (CPT, SAT, or ACT).

- Math - 460
Forsyth Tech College Placement Test
- Reading - 80
- Sentence Skills - 86
- Arithmetic - 57
- Algebra - 76 or high school Algebra II with a grade of B or better
ACT
- Composite score of 18
Individuals showing proficiency in college-level English and mathematics may be exempt from placement testing.
After all required items are on file in the Admissions Office, the admissions counselor will review the application and the student will be notified of his/her admissions status.
Applicants who have earned degrees or have completed coursework prior to entering the program should consult the transfer counselor for transcript evaluation.
