Career Description

This program is designed to prepare graduates for employment with organizations that use computers to process, manage, and communicate information. Computer Information Technology specialists provide technical advice, assistance and support to computer users.

Computer operator, systems analyst, help desk technician, help desk analyst, computer support specialist, technical support specialist, systems administrator.

Entry-Level Salary

  • $25,000 - $33,000/yr. Depends on skills, education, experience, and geographic location.

Course of Study

Course work will develop a student's ability to communicate complex technical issues related to computer hardware, software and networks in a manner that computer users can understand. Classes cover computer operations, and terminology, operating systems, databases, networking, security and technical support. This is a flexible curriculum that can be customized to meet community information systems needs.
