- Admission Cycle: Every semester (Most EMS courses have EMS 100 as a prerequisite. EMS 110 is taught each fall session. A student who holds a current, valid N.C. EMT certification can apply for a transfer credit to be credited for EMS 110.)

Career Description
This program is designed to prepare graduates to enter the work force as paramedics. The course of study provides the student an opportunity to acquire basic and advanced life support knowledge and skill by utilizing classroom instruction, practical laboratory sessions, hospital clinical experience and field internships with emergency medical service agencies.
Careers Available
Employment opportunities include ambulance services, fire and rescue agencies, air medical services, specialty areas of hospitals, physicians' offices, industry, educational institutions and government agencies.
Entry-Level Salary
- $29,000 - $45,000/yr.
