Part Time Instructor, Communications
Summary
This individual will teach a broad range of post-secondary courses in all areas of communication, prepare course outlines and objectives, evaluate course offerings, develop new courses, acquire skills and experience in using the newest instructional technologies, teach courses via distance education technology, other job-related duties may be assigned. Schedule will consist of day, evening, and occasional weekend courses, and require travel between campuses. The curriculum classes are: COM 120, COM 231.
Job Description
1. In order to be considered for employment, you must meet the minimum specified requirements for that position as described in the vacancy notice.
2. College Transcripts and Professional Certifications that at least meet the minimum requirements specified in the vacancy announcement must accompany your application.
3. Student copies are preferred with the application. Official copies will be required if you are recommended for employment in any position where the minimum requirements advertised include education beyond a high school diploma or GED.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Communications. **Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACS.**
- Successful teaching experience.
- Willingness to become acquainted with distance learning technologies.
- Willingness to teach at any of the Forsyth Tech locations, both day and evening classes.
- Willingness to teach in the Early College.
Preferred:
- Successful teaching experience at the community college level.
- Success teaching experience at the high school level.
- Ability to teach internet, videocassette-based and interactive television courses.
- Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the college.
