50th Anniversary Events
- September 14, 2 p.m.
We’re kicking off our 50th year anniversary with the dedication of the Forsyth Tech Alumni Oval on our Main Campus at 2100 Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem. The public is invited to attend.

Join us on Marshall Street in downtown Winston-Salem for Rock The Block. We’re sponsoring Rock This!, a teen rock band competition. Visit our booth to enter the drawing for a USB wristband!

Our SciTech Lecture Series in the Ardmore Auditorium on Main Campus opens with a presentation by Dr. Frank Torti, Wake Forest University Health Services Comprehensive Cancer Center, discussing “Advancing Cancer Treatment through Technology Innovation.”

Visit the Forsyth Tech booth in the Annex at the Dixie Classic Fair! Get an up-close look at our Richard Childress Race Car Technology Show Car, test your driving skills in a drag racing simulator, and visit the fun, interactive displays sponsored by many of the College’s departments.

Join us in Ardmore Auditorium on Main Campus at 2 p.m. for a 50th Anniversary Lecture by New York Times best-selling author Edwin Black who will talk about his book, Nazi Nexus, that addresses America’s corporate connections to the Holocaust. This event is sponsored by the Blynn Holocaust Collection at Forsyth Tech. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Preview our online auction and begin thinking about the bids you want to place on items of interest starting November 1 when the auction goes live. New items are being added everyday, so check back frequently. Funds raised through the auction will support The Forsyth Tech Foundation.

Our SciTech Lecture Series continues in the Ardmore Auditorium on Main Campus opens with a presentation by the internationally renowned AIDS researcher, Dr. Mark Wainberg, from McGill University in Montreal and Past President of the International AIDS Society. Dr. Wainberg will discuss “The Benefits of 25 Years of HIV Research on Laboratory Technology and Human Health.”

Visit our online auction frequently throughout the month to bid on your favorite items, including an Alaskan fishing trip for two, a “Stay and Play" package for one foresome at the new Ballyhack Golf Club near Roanoke ,VA, an iPod, or a blu-ray DVD player. Funds raised through the auction will support The Forsyth Tech Foundation.

Our SciTech Lecture Series continues this month in the Ardmore Auditorium on Main Campus with a presentation by Steven Burke, CEO, Biofuels Center of North Carolina, speaking on “Biofuels Across the Landscape: Vision, Challenge, and Change.”

Our SciTech Lecture Series starts out the new year with Dr. Frank Carver, Coordinator, Environmental Sciences, Forsyth Tech, addressing “Environmental Health Science Curriculum Development in Liberia, West Africa.”
