Forsyth Tech hosts third annual Biotechnology Conference

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (April 9, 2008) – Dr. Anthony Atala, a world-acclaimed researcher in the emerging field of regenerative medicine, delivered the keynote address this morning at a state biotechnology conference

Forsyth Technical Community College was host of the third annual BioForum sponsored by the North Carolina Community College System’s BioNetwork.

Some of North Carolina’s foremost biotechnology educators and economic developers are attending the conference in Winston-Salem, which will run through tomorrow. The conference is intended to facilitate networking and promote effective economic development and educational practices, biotechnology instructional skills and tools, and industry training trends.

Atala is the W.H. Boyce Professor and Chair of the Department of Urology and Director of the Institute for Regenerative Medicine at Wake Forest University.
