Small Business Center

The Small Business Center was established to offer support to those who want to start a small business or those who need assistance with an existing business.

The Center is open to the public and our experienced staff is here to provide reliable information, solid advice, additional training, one-on-one counseling, and business contacts.

The SBC counseling services covers a full-range of topics and can include business issues such as feasibility assessment, business planning, financing, human resources, marketing and operations to ensure your business’ success in a competitive marketplace.

Opportunity for NC Women Business Owners

The NC Small Business Center Network recently discovered a program to help NC women grow their businesses. The program is called Make Mine a Million (M3), and the goal is to help women who currently own a business grow it to over $1 MM in annual revenue.

M3 is backed by several national corporations and if selected for the program, you would receive

  • One-on-one mentorship to push your businesses over the $1 MM mark
  • Up to $50,000 line of credit from OPEN: American Express
  • Computer and networking hardware/software/support from Dell and Cisco
  • Vouchers for free sevices and discounts from FedEx/Kinko's
  • Vouchers for free services from Marriott, JetBlue, AIG and others

M3 is seeking 150 women from across NC to apply for the program and the recipients will be announced at the event in Charlotte on October 7, 2008. Click here for more details or visit, www.makemineamillion.org.
