  • SHRM membership is not required to attain the new SHRM Certification.

SHRM Textbooks There are two ways in which to register for the SHRM Exam Prep Course – walk-in and telephone.  Payment is by VISA/MasterCard (credit/debit card), check, cash, or money order. Payment must be made at the time of registration.  Checks should be made payable to Forsyth Technical Community College. Walk-in Registration:  Walk-in registration is available at six locations: West Campus Customer Service Center

Program Requirements: There are no admission requirements to take this program, however certain criteria must be met for participants taking the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam.  See exam requirements under who should enroll.  To receive a certificate of completion for the course from Forsyth Tech, you must meet the attendance requirements by attending 11 out of the 14 scheduled classes.   • Computer-based testing (CBT)
  • 130-150 questions (knowledge-based and situational-judgment test items)

Certification Cycle All credentials are valid for three years.  Recertification is required every three years through demonstrated professional development (preferred method) or retaking the exam.
