Forsyth Tech’s
new Davis iTEC Testing Center will hold an Open House on July 11, 2012, to
introduce students and Triad residents to the new facility. Located in the
Technology Building, 4th
Floor, Room 413, on the Main Campus, the center will administer
examinations to students wishing to be certified in a range of Information
Technology skills.
Forsyth
Tech students will be able to test for certifications through Prometric and
Pearson Vue: Microsoft (MTA, MCITP), Comptia (A+, NET+, Security+), Cisco
(CCNA, CCNP) among others. The
center will open to the general public in January 2013.
Before
the opening of the new center, people wishing to be tested for these
certifications had to travel to Greensboro. The facility will allow for testing
of up to 80 students a week. Forsyth Tech students will be provided with
discount vouchers to help with the fees for the testing.
The
center will hold the Open House from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 11 and is
free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
