Intramural Sports & Recreational Activities
Intramural Sports and Recreational Activities at Forsyth Tech strive to offer its students more than just an academic education. Efforts are made to provide students with extracurricular opportunities for involvement that will help to educate the total individual.
Intramural teams may participate in Coed Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Flag Football, and Volleyball leagues. Equipment and registration fees are paid out of the student activity fee budget. Golf tournaments, bowling leagues and ice skating are also offered every year to students at a greatly reduced price. College employees are encouraged to engage in and support student involvement in these programs. Activities are continuously added throughout the year and may vary based on participation.
Here are a few highlights:
- Co-ed Volleyball is offered to students of all skill levels each fall semester. This is a great way to learn a new sport, get some exercise, and make new friends. This will be a six-week league, with games held on Tuesdays from 3 until 5 pm in the West Campus gymnasium. Come join the fun! Check event calendar for next activity or information session.
- A Bowling League is offered each fall and spring semester. They are six-week leagues that are usually held on Wednesdays from 3 until 5 pm at Creekside Lanes. (Dates and times are subject to change each semester) A small fee is charged and the league is open to students of all skill levels. Check event calendar for next activity or information session.
- Co-ed Basketball is available each spring semester on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 until 5 pm in the West Campus gymnasium. Whether you are an experienced player or just beginning, you are welcome to join! Check event calendar for next activity or information session.
- Three Golf Tournaments are played each year, two in the fall and one in the spring. All tournament schedules will be announced at a later time.
