Program of Study
This program offers a variety of educational experiences in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings. The coursework will train students in the application of prescribed doses of ionizing radiation for the treatment of disease.

Careers Available
Positions are available at hospital cancer centers and outpatient cancer centers.
Recommended Courses and Skills
High school anatomy and physiology, advanced math and physical science and physics, if possible.
Helpful Personal Attributes
Strong math and science, willingness to deal with terminally ill patients, strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate.
Accreditation
Forsyth Technical Community College Radiation Therapy Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and currently maintains an 8-year accreditation.
