4-Hour Electronic Notary Course
eNotary=Paperless Transactions – Electronic notarization is the process of applying an electronic notary signature and seal onto an electronic document in a completely electronic and paperless transaction.
This 4 hour online synchronous (live) course prepares a valid commissioned notary public in the state of North Carolina to become a commissioned/appointed eNotary Public. Personal appearances by the principal is still required in electronic notarization.
This class will teach you what you need to know before applying for your eNotary Public Commission. You must hold a valid commission as a notary public in the state of North Carolina in order to take this class. The Electronic Notarization Manual is required and is included in the cost of the class. You will receive instructions on how to download this manual approximately one week prior to class. This manual must be downloaded and available on the FIRST day of class. Please arrive in class at least 15 minutes prior to start of class in order to allow time for check-in!

Note:
- In order to qualify for this course, a student must hold a current, valid commission as an NC notary public.
- All students must have a current state or federal issued picture ID upon arrival for class.
- A Current/Valid Passport is an acceptable form of ID
Attention Students Taking Online Classes:
You must have a valid (current) state or federal government issued photo ID, the required book, as well as a web camera, speakers, and microphone on your computer OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to take part in the ONLINE course. Google Chrome is the preferred browser.
- Only ONE Student per computer
- Student must have Computer with webcam, microphone, internet connection, and Google Chrome web browser (Smartphones, tablets, and Chromebook will not work).
- Quiet place to actively participate in the online class (without interruption)
- Student must provide a live video connection through the whole class and participate via chat, video, and verbal responses.
- Must have access to a printer for handouts and the Notary Application
You WILL NOT be allowed to take the online class if you have not completed ALL assignments. Additionally, you WILL NOT be admitted to class late.
Additional instructions will be emailed to 1 week prior to class which will explain assignments that must be completed BEFORE the FIRST day of class.

North Carolina Electronic Notarization Manual MUST be downloaded before attending the course, before commissioning, and retained for reference purposes.
