Does the Shugart Women’s Center make referrals to local agencies?
Yes! Work Family Resource Center, Inc., Legal Aid, Safe on Seven, ESR (Experiment in Self Reliance), Salvation Army, etc.
Does the Shugart Women’s Center offer funding for childcare?
No. Students are directed to the Student Financial Services Office of Forsyth Tech to complete a state childcare application and are also referred to Work-Family Resource Center.

What are the benefits of enrolling in the Minority Male Mentoring Program (MMMP)?
Some of the benefits include: Group and individual mentoring, student leadership development, participation in life skills workshops, mock interviews, resume development and building, university tours, referrals for community resources and other incentive programs.

Career Services offers career assessments to assist students in finding a career that is compatible to their abilities, interest, personality, and skills set. A good first step is to register for a Career Assessment workshop here.
