HOW IT WORKS

Forsyth Tech students can access the Forsyth Tech Connect Pantry twice a month, with at least one week between visits. FT Connect has 7 locations across the college’s campuses:
• Main Campus, Robert L. Strickland Center
• West Campus
• Transportation Technology Center
• Mazie Woodruff Center (August 2022)
• Grady P. Swisher Center
• Stokes (Coming Soon)
• Northwest (Coming Soon)

Each student must fill out a FT Connect Pantry Request Form. Once the student fills out the request form, someone from the Cares Office will then contact the student to confirm the date and time for item pick up.

If a student is unable to visit FT Connect Pantry during normal operating hours, the student must contact Forsyth Tech Cares at ftcares@forsythtech.edu or 336-734-7195.

If a student misses an appointment and does not contact The Forsyth Tech Cares Office to reschedule then their items will be returned to the shelf, and they must fill out a new request form.

What Do I Do on Days When the Food Pantry is Closed?

Forsyth Tech Connect Pantry is not open on Saturdays or Sundays or days on which the college is closed (such as holidays). If you need immediate resources on those days, then search for assistance in your area on nc211.org

If Inclement Weather Occurs, What Should I Do?

Forsyth Tech Connect Pantry will follow the college’s inclement weather policy, unless otherwise noted. Therefore, if you are aware of inclement weather nearing and you are low on food resources, please complete a FT Connect Pantry Request Form or contact our office at 336-734-7195 or ftcares@forsythtech.edu.

How Does the FT Connect Food Pantry Work?

• Any Forsyth Tech student or employee can access FT Connect.
• Each student must fill out a FT Connect Pantry Request Form
• Once the student fills out the request form, someone from the Cares Office will then
contact the student to confirm the date and time for item pick up
• Students can utilize FT Connect twice per month, with at least one week between
visits
• Students can visit one FT Connect location per visit, meaning a student may only
visit up to two locations within a given month
• If a student misses an appointment and does not contact The Forsyth Tech Cares

out a new request form

Grady Swisher Hours Tuesday -3:00-5:00 p.m. and Thursday -11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.

Donating

If you are interested in supporting FT Connect we are always accepting shelf-stable food, drinks, personal hygiene products, household supplies, and school supplies. Please contact our office at 336-734-7195 or ftcares@forsythtech.edu to arrange a drop off location and time. We also accept monetary donations. All monetary donations go through the Forsyth Tech Foundation. To donate online go to https://www.forsythtech.edu/giving/ , hit the “donate” button at the top of the page, underneath the dollar amount select “other” in the drop-down menu. On the payment page type “FT Connect.”
