The focus of the work of the Forsyth Tech Foundation is “Building on Strengths.” In our view, the greatest strengths of the College are our students, employees, and the technology on which our programs rely. Our strategy is to grow these assets as much as possible through securing community investments for student scholarships, professional development grants and technology purchases.
Established in 1974, the Forsyth Tech Foundation is a sole-support entity dedicated to the advancement and achievement of the students, faculty, and staff of Forsyth Technical Community College. The Foundation oversees management of funds belonging to the Foundation and prudently applies amounts derived from such funds to support the College. The Foundation provides clear and accurate financial information, while operating openly and collaboratively.
The Foundation is designated as a public non-profit corporation under the General Statues of North Carolina and has authority independent of the College. It is governed by an autonomous board of directors composed of community leaders. The Board is the Foundation governance and policy making body. As such the Board bears fiduciary responsibility for privately fundraised gifts to benefit Forsyth Tech.
