IRDS: Mission, Purpose and Principles
Institutional Research and Decision Support provides guidance for reaffirmation requirements and monitors compliance with the standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Principles of Accreditation. Institutional Research and Decision Support conducts institutional studies, surveys and research that meet the college’s informational needs for planning, program improvement, policy- and decision-making and mandated requirements.
Institutional Research and Decision Support serves to assist all members of the college community with their assessment, program evaluation and research initiatives. This includes analysis and reporting of accurate assessment and research information, evaluation of the quality of assessment and research methods employed on campus, and providing access to resources and data needed to successfully complete such initiatives.
Integrity – The department will provide assistance to the college community with honesty and without bias. Sensitive information will be handled in a confidential manner.
