Mission, Purpose and Principles
Mission Statement
Strategic Innovation and Effectiveness provides guidance for reaffirmation requirements and monitors compliance with the standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Principles of Accreditation. Strategic Innovation and Effectiveness conducts institutional studies, surveys and research that meet the college’s informational needs for planning, program improvement, policy- and decision-making and mandated requirements.
Strategic Innovation and Effectiveness serves to assist all members of the college community with their assessment, program evaluation and research initiatives. This includes analysis and reporting of accurate assessment and research information, evaluation of the quality of assessment and research methods employed on campus, and providing access to resources and data needed to successfully complete such initiatives.
Guiding Principles
Integrity – The department will provide assistance to the college community with honesty and without bias. Sensitive information will be handled in a confidential manner.
Pride – Members of the department will be dedicated and show enthusiasm in their tasks and responsibilities. Resulting work will be shared with the utmost confidence.
Dependability – The college community can rely on the department’s availability to provide accurate and timely information.
Accountability – The department will operate in an open manner and lessons learned will be used as a tool for continuous improvement.
