You will learn about brewing equipment, ingredients and the techniques needed to brew multiple styles. Class topics include: cleaning and sanitation, equipment, ingredients (water, malt, hops and yeast), and the brewing process. This course is hands on and concludes with the brewing of both an extract and an all grain batch of beer!
Participants must be 21+ years of age to register for this course. Registered students must present a valid photo ID on the first night of class.
With the exception of bottles and caps for the beer you will be brewing you do not need to purchase any brewing equipment or ingredients for the class. Taking this course will help you determine what equipment you may want to purchase after the class is complete!
We will be brewing two batches of beer and each student will need approximately 12 bottles and 12 caps, these DO NOT need to be purchased before class. Chris will discuss options for buying/reusing bottles before they are needed.
