Forsyth Tech Community College. A place of promise. President's Message. Dr. Janet N. Spriggs.

Welcome, students!

Today, August 17, is the first day of our fall 2020 semester! I know this is one of the strangest ways to begin a semester, but I want you to know how very happy we are to have you with us at Forsyth Tech.

I took a few moments to record a quick video for you, that I hope you’ll take time to watch (it’s less than four minutes of your day!).

The main takeaways are:

  • We are happy you are here, even under these extraordinary circumstances.
  • We are doing everything we can to help all of our students, faculty and staff stay safe.
  • This includes intense cleaning protocols, lots of hand sanitizing stations, everyone wearing masks, and more. Please check out our special COVID-19 website for additional details.

As your president, I want you to know that we are here for you as you get into your classes. I know that the state of our world and economy make coming to college challenging, but I want to commend you for staying focused and investing in yourself. Education is something no one can ever take away from you. So, congrats to you for seizing the moment!

Best of luck!

Warm Regards,

Janet Spriggs
