We are wrapping our third week of the semester, and I hope you are now getting into the rhythm of a new semester, and a semester unlike any other! I hope all of you continue to enjoy an engaging start to fall semester 2020 and a new academic year.
If you have any questions about safety precautions, please check our webpage at covid-19 or if you have questions, email email@example.com. Remember, Forsyth Tech Cares! If you have needs for assistance or need to talk with someone, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also looking for a new mascot!!! The college had one a few years ago and it’s time to bring one back. Take the survey below to share your thoughts.
Student Government Association has big plans for the fall, beginning with Constitution Day on September 17. See Techlink for more information about the virtual event.
Just a reminder that Monday is Labor Day and we will have our Fall break on October 12 and 13. Classes will not be held on those days.
Forsyth Tech’s Student Government Association is sponsoring a Constitution Day Virtual Event on September 17 at 11 a.m. They will host a panel of politicians and speakers to answer pre-scripted/live questions pertaining to voting, the Constitution and the political process. The goal of this event is to help students and employees understand the importance of the U.S. Constitution, our voting privileges, and the political process. A sign-in link will be posted on Techlink.
Bring Back the Mascot
We have heard from you that you miss the mascot at Forsyth Tech. Do you want to bring back the Forsyth Tech Tiger, or have other suggestions? Please complete the survey and let us know your ideas.
Facebook Live with me – Tuesday at 2 p.m.!
Next Tuesday , September 8, at 2 p.m., I’ll be hosting Facebook Live on our college’s Facebook page to talk with all of you, as well as Forsyth Tech faculty and staff. It’s a great time for us to be together to talk about the fall semester and for you to ask any questions you may have. Hope to see you then!
Places worth going
“There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.”
I am grateful that each of you know this is a marathon we are running together and it may be longer right now than we thought but we are trying to enjoy the ride and not taking any short cuts! We are here for you!
Take care and stay safe!
