Hello Forsyth Tech Students;
There continues to be much uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we understand how unsettling and frightening that may be. I want to assure you that Forsyth Tech is closely monitoring the situation, staying in close contact with state and local officials, and developing plans for multiple scenarios.
Today, two cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Forsyth County. While the risk level within Forsyth and Stokes Counties remains low, the situation continues to evolve and change rapidly. Therefore, we believe it is prudent and in the best interest of students, staff and faculty for us to adjust our schedules to reduce risk of exposure.
Therefore, we are expanding next week’s Spring Break. Students will now be on Spring Break from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. At this time, we plan to resume classes on Monday, March 30, and we will notify you in advance of that date, if conditions and plans change.
Classes will be held tomorrow, Friday, March 13, however, if you have issues or concerns about being on campus, please contact your instructors right away. Our faculty and staff are here to support you and will work with you during this unprecedented situation.
Note: The BLET, EMS and Electrical Lineman classes are on a normal schedule
We believe these measures are appropriate for the conditions as they exist at this time, but if the situation changes, we will be prepared, and will respond quickly. We hope you will continue to be safe and check our website here, for prevention tips, and updates.
Enjoy your extended spring break!
