What You Need For Registration

Registering for a Continuing Education course at Forsyth Tech is easy. You can register by phone or in person at the West Campus.

When you register, you must provide all of the following information:

  • Course Registration Number
  • Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Social Security Number (encouraged, but not required) or Student ID number
  • Phone Number
  • Employment Status
  • Education Level
  • Payment

You may register more than one person, but you must supply all of the above information for each person being registered.

Privacy and Your Social Security Number

Forsyth Tech takes precautions to guard against identity theft. Your Social Security number is used by Forsyth Tech only to register you in the course(s) of your choice, to assign your course grades and to develop your transcript.

Payment Options

When registering by phone or at the West Campus you may pay with:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • Discover

If paying with Cash, Check, or Money Order please note you will need to register by phone or at the West Campus, then tender payment to the Cashier Office in person the same day in the Allman Building on the Main Campus.

Payment of registration, equipment and/or insurance fees must be made at the time of registration. Fee exemptions, if offered, are noted in the Course Listings. Checks should be made payable to Forsyth Technical Community College.

Keep In Mind

  • Early registration is encouraged.
    • Classes fill on a “first come, first served” basis.
    • Classes may be canceled as early as one week prior to the start date due to low enrollment.
  • Registration must be completed before the first class meeting. Late registration is not permitted.
  • Students may not register for Continuing Education courses at Forsyth Technical Community College’s Main Campus.

    All occupational courses have a $5 per course computer use and technology fee.

      • Click the drop down menu under Term and select EWD/Con-Ed
      • Click Select Department to select your department
      • Click Select Course to select your course
      • Click Select Section and then click All
      • Click the Find Materials button
    • CAPS fee (College Access, Parking and Security (CAPS) Fee) is included in all course registrations.
    • Parking decals are for a single vehicle and are non-transferrable
    • Additional decals can be purchased for an additional $25.

Please Note:
All Continuing Education students who park vehicles on ANY Forsyth Tech campus (Main, Northwest Forsyth Center, Robert L. Strickland Center, Stokes County Center, Transportation Center, West, Woodruff and Swisher) are required to have a parking decal for their vehicle.

Parking decals must be picked up in person at the Main Campus Police Office. Parking decals must be picked up in advance.
