When will my courses Blackboard courses be available?

Answer:

Online courses, section 800 (example 803) are made available to students on the first day of the semester.
Hybrid courses, section 900 (example 901) are made available to students on the first day of the semester.
All other courses will be made available by your instructor after you meet in the classroom for the first time.
Course Sections with the A suffix, are half term semesters, (8-week for fall and spring and 5-week course in the summer) begin at the start of the new semester.
Course Sections with the B suffix, are half term semesters, (8-week for fall and spring and 5-week course in the summer) begin at the mid-point of the semester.

Why can’t I see my course in Blackboard?

Answer:

When you register for a class you are automatically enrolled into the Blackboard system for that course. There could be a couple of reasons why you may not be able to see your Blackboard course.

Your instructor has not made your course available. In traditional (face-2-face) classes, the instructor must make the Blackboard site available to students, and usually only after the class has met at least one time in the classroom.
Verify the course is in your list of courses in the student portal myForsythTech, or check the My Courses section when you login to Blackboard.
You have been dropped from the class or there is some other registration problem. In this case, contact your instructor to see if you are enrolled in the course.

How do I contact my instructor?

Answer:

Your instructor contact information will be listed in your course syllabus. You should use the instructors preferred method of contact. Some instructors do not have offices on the Forsyth Tech campus, so email or phone are your only options.
