FORSYTH TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE HOSTS INAUGURAL HUMANITIES ENRICHMENT SERIES LECTURE

2019-2020 academic year HES kicked off with nearly 100 attending

The Forsyth Tech Humanities Enrichment Series (HES) held its inaugural event for the 2019-2020 academic year on September 19, 2019 with a talk given by Dr. Raisur Rahman from Wake Forest University on “Unity in Diversity; The Making of Bombay as a Global City. The event was well attended by students, faculty and staff with approximately 100 Forsyth Tech community members attending the speech and subsequent question and answer session. HES President Sonia Tandon, Professor of History said, “This event would not have been possible without collaboration across the college with special thanks to Kim Strong, Student Life and Engagement and Alan Teitleman.”

Additional HES events will be held this fall and spring semester. This event was supported by Student Life and Engagement and the Forsyth Tech Foundation. We look forward to promoting the Humanities through our Speaker Series, our involvement in the Pulitzer Center and showcasing some of the films from the River Run festival.
