Career Description
The degree program is designed to prepare students for various emergency service careers in the public, private, and voluntary sectors. The interdisciplinary curriculum blends theoretical perspectives with professional practice, and emphasizes real-world application of knowledge to practical settings. The emergency management principles of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery will be the foundation for the EPT curriculum.
Careers Available
Employment opportunities include fire/rescue departments, law enforcement agencies, emergency medical services, fire marshal offices, industrial firms, educational institutions, emergency management offices and other government agencies. Employed persons should have opportunities for skilled and managerial and supervisory-level positions.
Entry-Level Salary
- $28,000 - $32,000/yr.
Course of Study
Students in this program can combine courses in Fire Protection Technology, Emergency Medical Science, and Criminal Justice Technology to tailor the degree towards their area of interest.

High school algebra and computer skills.
