What You’ll Learn
Build practical skills for identifying, evaluating and managing financial and business risks. The Risk Management certificate combines foundational business knowledge with specialized training in risk management, property and casualty insurance, financial planning and enterprise risk management.
Students also develop an understanding of entrepreneurship and business law, preparing them to evaluate financial decisions, understand insurance principles and help organizations manage potential risks.
Outcomes
Students develop related skills through the study of financial analysis, critical thinking and ethics. The curriculum prepares graduates to qualify for entry-level accounting and finance positions in many types of organizations, including accounting firms, small businesses, manufacturing firms, banks, hospitals, school systems and governmental agencies.
