We’re offering two tuition-free pathways for bilingual students who want to build careers in social and human services. Both tracks include full tuition and book support, a $750 quarterly stipend (up to $3,000 total), and access to professional development and training.

Whether you’re already taking classes or just starting out, one of these tracks might be your perfect fit.

The deadline to apply is June 30, 2025.


Track 1: Social Worker Pathway

This track is for students already working toward an associate degree in Social & Human Services who plan to transfer to a university and earn a bachelor’s degree in social work.

You’re eligible if you:

  • Are bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Are at least 18 and live in Forsyth County
  • Have earned at least 16 college credits toward the AAS in Social & Human Services
  • Plan to graduate with your AAS by December 2026
  • Plan to transfer to a 4-year social work program by January 2027

Priority is given to students who:

  • Are the first in their family to attend college
  • Have lived experience with immigration, mental health challenges, recovery, or the criminal justice system

Benefits:

  • Tuition, fees, and books (after Pell, if eligible)
  • $750 stipend every quarter
  • Mentorship from bilingual social workers
  • Free or discounted training and transfer help

Track 2: Community Outreach Pathway

This track is perfect for those just beginning their journey into human services, especially those interested in outreach work in their communities.

You’re eligible if you:

  • Are bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Are at least 18 and live in Forsyth County
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Want to pursue a career in social and human services

Priority is given to students who:

  • Are first-generation college students
  • Have lived experience related to immigration, mental health, addiction recovery, or the justice system

Benefits:

  • Tuition, fees, and books for:
    • The Social & Human Services Community Outreach Certificate
    • Clinical Experience & Supervision courses
  • $750 quarterly stipend (up to $3,000 total)
  • Free or discounted access to trainings and workshops
