What You’ll Learn
The Addictions and Recovery curriculum equips students to support individuals in achieving sobriety and healing, fostering meaningful change in their communities.
Key Features:
- Includes six (6) clock hours of Professional Ethics Training in SAB courses
- Prepares for careers as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist
Outcomes
The program combines foundational knowledge in addiction, mental health, and recovery techniques with supervised fieldwork, allowing students to gain practical, real-world experience.
Requirements
The accelerated certificate is available exclusively to students who have already earned a degree in human services (Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s). This certificate helps students meet the educational and internship requirements for certification or licensure through the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB).
Enrollment Process
