What You’ll Learn
Curious about meditation but not sure where to start? This introductory course is the perfect entry point for beginners who want to explore the fundamentals of mindfulness and meditation in a supportive, approachable setting. We will introduce how to do these practices in non-religious ways, what benefits the tradition claims, & what scientific research has to say about the benefits and limitations of these meditations.
Outcomes
You will learn a variety of Asian meditation techniques, including Hindu concentration, Buddhist mindfulness, Buddhist Zen ‘just sitting,’ Tibetan Buddhist mandalas, Daoist visualization, as well as moving meditation and qigong energy work.
