What You’ll Learn
Students learn medical office skills like scheduling, billing, records, and communication to prepare for the CMAA exam and healthcare jobs.
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course students will learn medical office skills like:
- Patient check-in/out & scheduling
- Using electronic health records (EHR)
- Medical terms & basic anatomy
- Insurance & billing basics
- HIPAA & patient privacy
- Office organization & compliance
Completion of CMAA training may count toward two courses required for a Medical Office Administration certificate or degree:
- OST 161 – Medical Office Procedures
- OST 141 – Medical Terminology
