Career & College Promise Pathways
Career & College Promise provides three paths to help advance eligible students’ post-high school success.
Earn tuition-free course credits toward a four-year degree by taking courses through Forsyth Tech. Initiative for qualified high school students, age 15 and above and in the 11th or 12th grade. Credits transfer seamlessly to all University of North Carolina institutions and many of North Carolina’s Independent Colleges and Universities. There are currently 4 College Transfer pathways available at Forsyth Tech.
Earn tuition-free course credits at Forsyth Tech toward an entry-level job credential, certificate or diploma in a technical career. Initiative for qualified high school students, age 15 and above and in the 11th or 12th grade. There are currently 33 Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways available at Forsyth Tech.
The Cooperative Innovative High School Path (limited availability)
Begin earning tuition-free college credits as a high-school freshman by attending a Cooperative Innovative High School such as Early College of Forsyth or Stokes Early College High School. These schools offer students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate’s degree at the same time. In addition, Forsyth Middle College, a Cooperative Innovative High School for students in the 11th and 12th grade and part of Career and College Promise, offers its students the opportunity to earn some transferable college credits and obtain their High School Degree.
Articulated courses are selected high school courses that will get you advanced standing credit at Forsyth Tech.
