“Ignite Your Path” was designed to empower and inspire women who are ready to take the next step in their personal and professional lives. This inaugural event brought together women at all stages of their journey, offering the tools, support, and encouragement needed to move forward with purpose.

Throughout the conference, attendees heard from motivational speakers, took part in hands-on workshops, and built connections with others who share similar goals. Each session focused on helping participants grow their confidence, strengthen their skills, and take clear steps toward their future.

“The Ignite Your Path Women’s Conference was created to inspire and equip women at all personal and professional stages, giving them space to reflect, connect, and be reminded of their strength,” said Katie Waugh, Coordinator for the Shugart Women’s Center. “Seeing participants engage, support one another, and leave feeling inspired made the entire experience incredibly meaningful. It was also a powerful reminder of how impactful it can be when women create space for one another to grow.”

The conference centered around four key goals:

  • Help women recognize their value and take action toward their goals
  • Provide practical tools for personal and career growth
  • Build a strong sense of community through connection and shared learning
  • Encourage leadership and confidence in pursuing individual paths

Attendees also had the chance to engage in focused pathways based on where they are in their journey:

  • Igniting Transformation and Leading Change at the Top

Each pathway offered targeted sessions that met participants where they are and helped guide what comes next.

“Ignite Your Path” reflected Forsyth Tech’s commitment to creating opportunities for growth, connection, and leadership. It gave attendees time to step away from their daily routines, focus on their goals, and leave with a renewed sense of direction.
