This April, Forsyth Tech leaders and educators gathered with representatives from AT&T at West Campus for a ceremony symbolizing commitment to expanding digital equity. AT&T representatives presented Forsyth Tech president, Dr. Janet Spriggs with a $10,000 check to support digital equity for Career and College Readiness (CCR) students. AT&T’s investment will directly support North Carolina’s Digital Navigator Program, an initiative designed to strengthen students’ digital proficiency for workforce readiness and economic mobility.

The Digital Navigator Program, launched in 2023, has demonstrated strong impact, providing students and community members with training, and distributing laptops and hotspots to improve access. Education and instruction is grounded in the Northstar Digital Literacy curriculum, ensuring a consistent, research-based approach tailored to adult learners. AT&T’s support allows the program to continue at five North Carolina colleges, including Forsyth Tech.

The check presentation at Forsyth Tech was more than a ceremonial moment—it was a visible reminder of what strong partnerships can achieve. By investing in people, skills and access, AT&T and the North Carolina Community College System are helping build pathways to economic mobility and strengthening communities across the state.
