One of America’s Top 10 Community Colleges
Forsyth Technical Community College is a finalist for the 2027 Aspen Prize — one of 10 institutions selected nationally from nearly 1,000 community colleges.
The Aspen Prize honors colleges where students complete credentials that lead to good jobs and bachelor’s degrees. It is given for results, not plans. Our graduation rate grew from 19 percent to 45 percent over six years. Completion for our minority students grew from 12 percent to 45 percent. The gap between the two is effectively closed.
Those numbers are people. They are students who started here and finished what they started. They are employees who built a college where finishing is the shared work of every department.
