Course work includes effective communication and patient care skills combined with knowledge of physics, human anatomy, physiology and pathology, all of which are essential to obtaining high quality sonographic images.

Recommended Courses and Skills

Competencies in biology, algebra and physics are required. Strong math and science aptitude is helpful.

Good hand-eye coordination, critical thinking and problem solving skills, sense of responsibility and independence, ability to work with individuals of various ages and degree of illness, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
