Transportation Technology Center
Forsyth Tech’s Transportation Technology Center is a Center of Excellence housing the following curriculum programs:
- Automotive Systems Technology
- Automotive Systems Technology Toyota T-TEN
- Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology
- Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology
- Motorcycle Mechanics
- Race Car Technology (Richard Childress Race Car)
Opening in 2012, the Transportation Center is the largest of its kind in the southeast with 139,000 square feet. The building contains practical labs, general education classrooms, and computer labs. Services offered at the campus include a Barnes & Noble bookstore, student services advisor, financial aid technician, cashier, ASE and placement testing services. This allows students to complete their entire degree at the center.
The Transportation Center is also houses the International Center and many English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Other Economic and Workforce Development classes include Forklift Training, Auto Safety Inspection, Auto Inspection OBD II, Notary Public, eNotary, and photography.
All are welcome to visit or to be an industry partner with any of the programs housed at the Transportation Center.
