
Founded in 1960 as the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Industrial Education Center, Forsyth Tech has been offering accessible higher education opportunities to local communities for 65 years. Automotive mechanics, machine shop, electronics, and practical nursing were the initial degree programs, and today Forsyth Tech offers numerous degrees and certificates that can be earned online or in person at our 10 campus locations.

This magical evening at the Forsyth Country Club to celebrate 65th years of legacy, trailblazing and promises kept on Thursday, October 2. There will be a silent and live auction, libations, food, fellowship and of course lots of fun!

In recognition of Forsyth Technical Community College’s 65 years of service to North Carolina, Representative Donny Lambeth (District 75) signed a proclamation on March 19, 2025, during Community College Day at the North Carolina General Assembly. The proclamation acknowledges Forsyth Tech’s impact on workforce development, economic growth, and educational access, highlighting its role in shaping the future of the region.
