Leading the Nation in Innovation & Impact

Bellwether Award for Instructional Programs & Services: Forsyth Tech’s College Lift program received this distinguished national honor, recognizing it as a scalable model addressing critical educational challenges and preparing students for future success.
Top 200 U.S. Community Colleges (Aspen Prize Eligibility): The Aspen Institute named Forsyth Tech among the nation’s 200 community colleges eligible to compete for the $1M Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the sector’s most meaningful recognition for outcomes and equity.
Anthology Catalyst Award (Assessment & Institutional Effectiveness): Forsyth Tech was selected for this global award celebrating bold use of technology and data-driven practices that support student success.

National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Awards:

Thirteen of our faculty and staff were honored nationally for outstanding teaching, leadership, and dedication to student learning.

Two distinguished faculty members, Joey Bryant and Nancy Miller, were recognized for pioneering approaches in their fields and profound impacts on student outcomes.

Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Equity Award – Southeast Region: Forsyth Tech’s leadership in equity and inclusion earned this regional distinction, spotlighting programs that expand access, foster diversity, and strengthen community engagement.
Aspen Institute Presidents Fellowship: President Dr. Janet Spriggs was selected for the Aspen Institute’s Presidents Fellowship, joining a national cohort of transformative higher-ed leaders.

CASE Award – Best of District III:

Forsyth Tech’s 2022 Report to the Community was honored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education for excellence in storytelling, design, and institutional messaging.
