Another way that prospective students can receive credit for skills they have already acquired is by requesting to take a proficiency exam. It is important to note that credit awarded by proficiency exams will count toward any degrees earned at Forsyth Tech, but the credit will not transfer to another college or university. If you need the credit to transfer, please consider taking the CLEP exam instead. Your advisor can help you to decide which option best fits your needs.
