Painting: Acrylic

In this course, you will learn the basic technique of painting with acrylic. Invented by chemist Otto Rohm in 1934, it is a medium that was at first rejected by the art world. The Pop Art movement welcomed acrylic paint and put it through its paces. And so will we. Painting: Water Media

This class allows student to experiment with any water media, including watercolors, acrylics, gouache, and watercolor pencils. Beginners, will receive an introduction into watercolor and acrylics and the difference between them the first day of class. We keep supplies at a minimum, teaching you how to mix paints to create hues rather than buy a tube of another color. Demonstrations will be done in blending colors, what makes a good paint brush and can you use them for all media, and much more!
