Adobe Illustrator Basics
Develop your graphic design and digital illustration skills using Adobe Illustrator. In this class you will learn how to create, import and edit images, as well as how to design with text, graphics and color. Apply these skills to design logos, t-shirt graphics, anime characters, digital art, custom packaging, greeting cards, newsletters, and much more.
Prerequisite: this class is open to all ability levels, but some experience working with computers is recommended.

Calligraphy
This class is now taught in person at the South Fork Recreation Center.
Learn how to write in style with Calligraphy. In a class designed for beginners, the Italic alphabet is a popular introduction to the art of the broad edged pen. Students will be offered a step-by-step approach to the basic technique, letter forms, word, line and page spacing of this beautiful and graceful calligraphic hand. The Italic alphabet lends itself to a wide variety of applications. The course can also be used as a refresher.

Copper Jewelry
In this class we will explore the many techniques and finishes that copper has to offer. We will work with various gauges of copper wire and sheet to create complete pieces of jewelry as well as skills to create elements that can be added to other designs using beads, stones and more. Stained Glass – All Levels
Beginners explore the qualities of stained glass methods with copper foil or leaded techniques learning fabrication processes of cutting glass, foiling, leading and soldering. Intermediate and advanced participants may explore painting with vitreous paints or fused glass elements as a component to their projects, filigree and/or sandblasting.

Woodworking
Woodworking is fun and functional, come and learn the basics or develop new skills. In this mixed level class, you will learn about equipment safety, have hands-on demonstrations of woodworking tools and shop machinery, and discover how to put the finishing touches on your project. First time students will create a footstool using most of the power tools in our carpentry lab (approximately 3 weeks). Once your project is complete to your satisfaction, you may work on an individual project with the approval of the instructor.
Please note: the cost of wood and materials for the first project and for basic lab supplies is included in the cost of the class. Additional projects will require students to purchase their own wood – the instructor will discuss this with the class.
Woodworking: Intermediate
Take your woodworking skills to new heights. This class is for students who have already taken our classic 8-week course and are looking for a supported environment to complete their next project. Students must come with a project in mind, this is an open workshop class with personalized help from the instructor. Basic wood working supplies will be provided, students must supply their own wood.
